Universe

I understand art as a way of being in the world: a way of inhabiting it, and of transcending through it.

I never begin a work to illustrate an idea. Each project is born from an inner movement that is often taking shape within me long before I can consciously recognise it. The questions appear first in life; the work comes later.

Each body of research is a portal. A door that opens onto a new territory, where memory, childhood, identity, encounter, presence, care and transformation live side by side. They are not separate themes, but different ways of walking the same path.

Over time I come to understand that every work was a bridge. A step between who I was and who I was beginning to be. Only when the process has matured — and often when its effects have gone beyond my own expectations — can I look back and discover the deeper meaning of what I was searching for.

That is when the work takes on its meaning.

This universe brings those bodies of research together. Not as a sequence of projects, but as a way of inhabiting the world through art. Each door leads to a different experience, yet all are part of the same search: to make the invisible visible, and to create spaces where memory, love and transformation can find a form.

Roxana Esposito

I am Roxana Esposito, an Argentine visual artist. My work unfolds mainly through ceramic sculpture, painting and installation.

For more than fifteen years I have run Vamos al Taller, a space for artistic creation and training in Martínez, Buenos Aires, where I guide the creative processes of children and adults.

My work explores childhood as a state of being, memory, human bonds, care, and the possibilities for transformation that arise in the encounter with matter.

I work above all with clay because I feel it is not a passive material. Clay responds, holds traces, transforms — and transforms us too. As we shape it, something of our own story begins to take form.

My works have been exhibited and recognised in Argentina and Italy, and are part of private and institutional collections. I currently continue to develop projects between Argentina, Italy and Spain, while deepening my training and research in art therapy.

I see my production as one continuous work: a path of creation, transformation and individuation expressed through art.
